I am writing in support of Pedro Guzman Perez and his family. I know Pedro to be a caring, committed, hardworking father and husband -- whether he is organizing his son’s birthday party, taking his son to the library, or just out with his family on a walk.
His wife Emily has shown remarkable resilience, patience, and optimism through the difficult period of time since Pedro was detained. In addition to maintaining her full-time job and single-parenting an active preschooler, she is completely committed to Pedro and has worked tirelessly to support him.
Pedro’s son Logan misses his daddy terribly. He understands the situation only as much as a three-year-old is capable of; it will surely be a relief and a joy to Logan when Pedro and he are reunited.
